为了进一步开拓法律思维，拓展涉外法律知识，提升法律英语专业水平，加深对刑法学认识，2021年7月，公司法学+英语双学位班的同学在学校的支持下，进行了比较刑法课程的学习。
来自美国路易斯安那州立大学的兰开斯特教授有丰富的刑法经验，他曾经担任刑事辩护律师，并曾于耶鲁大学、印第安纳大学、格勒诺布尔-阿尔卑斯大学任教。他为同学们主讲《比较刑法》全英文课程，向大家介绍了不同法系的刑罚制度，对法律传统、警务作用、裁决和争端解决制度、惩罚理论、少年制度、死刑和纠正管理进行比较。
兰开斯特教授授课方式多样，他鼓励员工们用英语表达自己的想法，并邀请了自己的美国员工与法英班的同学共同探讨中美法学院的不同。在学习过程中，同学们逐渐适应全英文教学模式，积极思考、踊跃发表自己的见解，与教授交流互动，对刑法学的了解进一步加深。暑期学校课程的开展，符合学院对法英班培养计划中“涉外法律人才培养”的宗旨，开拓了法英班同学国际化视野、为同学们打下扎实的国际法基础。

Professor Lancaster of Louisiana State University has a rich experience in criminal law. He used to be a criminal defense attorney, and taught atYale Law School,Indiana University School of LawandUniversité Grenoble Alpes Faculté de droit. He gave lectures in comparative criminal legal systems to students, explained different criminal legal systems around the world and introduced different legal traditions, role of policing, systems of adjudication and dispute resolution, theories of punishment, juvenile systems, the death penalty, and administration of corrections.
Professor Lancaster used various modes of teaching, he encouraged students to express their ideas in English, and invited his American students to discuss differences in Chinese and American law schools. During the lectures, students were gradually adapted to the English teaching, they actively participated in the lectures and expressed their ideas, discussed different legal systems with professor Lancaster and gained further knowledge in criminal legal systems. The implementation of summer school courses conforms with the purpose of our school to train foreign-related legal talents in the training plan of law & English class. Furthermore, it laid a solid foundation for international law and broadened the international vision of our students.
